amin ya allah meaning

It can be translated as “Ya Allah” or “O Allah”. Allahumma Aameen is used at the end of supplication “Dua”. It is the form of requesting Allah to fulfil all the wishes and dua that have been made. Together, Allahumma Ameen would be a plea, “O Allah, hear this truth” or hear my prayer, my invocation.

The meaning of the word “Aameen” is “O Allah, answer.” So whoever says it after a supplication, it is as if he has offered the supplication to which he said Aameen, and if he is the one who said the supplication, then he has offered supplication twice.

Ziyarat of Ameenullah. This is the Ziyarat of Imam `’Ali (a), recited when visiting his grave, or from afar when commemorating his death­date, the day of Ghadeer and other such occasions.
